B-I-N-G-O

Last week my friends and I played BINGO at a place in Brooklyn Park for girls' night out. I've never played bingo for money before, but it was really fun! $10 is all it cost to play every game they had, and I was close to winning $750! Oh well... maybe next time. I think I'm hooked. Maybe Scott will go to Mystic with me sometime. :)

Here are my (non-winning) BINGO cards...

Grace's First Haircut

October 25, 2009
Grace got her very first haircut on this day. I was worried she might freak out, but she did great. She hardly made a peep! Lisa (who also does my hair) was kind enough to let us come to her house and she was really good with Grace. She has a sweet voice, and I could tell Grace was really comfortable around her. When everything was done, Grace had some "bounce" to the back of her hair and the long strands that used to sway over her eyes were gone. I was happy, and I think Grace felt special sitting in Lisa's big red booster chair. :)

Before the cut...

Closing her eyes (real tight) like Lisa asked her to...

The back has some body now...

All done!

Little Chefs

October 2009. My kids were little chefs this month. Ryan helped me make crustless pumpkin pie one night. And another day we let the kids make their own pepperoni pizza. They had fun adding the toppings, and sneaking a few bites in between. The little aprons they are wearing, which made them feel very chef-like, were so cute I think. I bought them at an outdoor market in Palmer, AK this past summer.

Blog & Facebook

To all my family and friends who read this blog AND my facebook page, I apologize if you see the same photos posted on both sites. Not everyone reads this blog and facebook, so sometimes I post things on both websites. Just thought I'd tell ya. :)

Cousin Cate's 6th Birthday

On October 11, 2009 we attended cousin Cate's 6th birthday party at The Little Gym. The kids got to tumble, run, and play in the open gym area. Then they were treated to cake while Cate opened her gifts. Happy 6th Birthday Cousin Cate!

Pumpkins in the Park

Shakopee had a "Pumpkins in the Park" event on October 10, 2009. I believe it snowed that morning, but we weren't going to miss it. By the time we went the snow was gone, but it was FREEZING! I thought my hands were going to crack and fall off. But Ryan was a trooper and we had fun! Afterwards, we warmed up at Caribou Coffee with some hot chocolate. Yum.

Ryan's Halloween Costume for 2009 - Cowboy! I love it.

Ryan got to trick-or-treat early. I don't think he understood what was going on. He seemed dazed. But there was a creepy 12-foot-tall vampire walking nearby that was probably giving him the spooks. Me too!

Grace Likes Pretties

Grace is really into her "pretties" these days. These are her barrettes and binders, and she likes me to put lot of them in her hair. Thanks to our daycare lady, Netta, for the word "pretties". We like it!
