Day at the Apple Orchard

On October 4, 2009 we took a trip to the Deardorff Orchards in Waconia, MN. It was lots of fun, despite the chilly, misty weather. We picked a bag of honeycrisp apples, rode on a tractor trailer, picked a pumpkin, visited with some animals, and enjoyed our family time together.

Ryan was so excited because he got to drive the tractor all the way to the apple picking trees and back. He also took his job very seriously, which was super cute to see.

Happy 2nd Birthday Grace

Grace turned 2 on September 19th. We invited both sides of the family over for a party, and I truly enjoyed celebrating this day with all of them. In the last year Grace has grown into such personality! That's all I can call it... personality. She's funny, goofy, sassy, sweet, loving, and we're lucky she's ours. Happy 2nd Birthday Grace!

Photos from September 2009.

Just thought this picture was cute... Ryan smiling with cottage cheese on his teeth.

Cute!

This picture cracks me up. Grace wanted to wear her pearl necklace on this morning. So she's wearing it at breakfast while sporting a tractor t-shirt.

Grace loves to be goofy with the rest of us. I think she saw Ryan doing this and then she had to copy him.

Checking herself out in the mirror.

More checking herself out.

My friend Ang's adorable daughter, Amber, with my sister's dog Ginger.

My friends' cute kids. Amber belongs to Ang. Nolan belongs to Jen.

Ryan likes to show off his creations.

So sweet.

Duluth Trip | August 2009

We visited Duluth in August. I love Duluth! And I love vacationing there when we get a chance. This was Grace's first time being in Duluth (unless you count the time I was pregnant with her). We stayed at the Edgewater Resort & Hotel. They have an indoor waterpark which the kids enjoyed a lot. I loved being outside, especially by the lake. And Ryan loves to throw rocks into the water. It has to be one of his favorite activities.

How could I resist taking a picture of the rocks! Throwing rocks into the lake seemed to be a recurring event during our trip. :)

We visited the Childrens' Museum and Ryan really enjoyed being a knight.

Scott and the kids "camping" at the Childrens' Museum.

Ryan wanted to take a picture of me.

Hanging out in the hotel room. The kids are watching "Tom & Jerry".

Couldn't pass up the chance to throw more rocks before we left town. :)

Snacking on the ride home.

Happy and heading home.
